Terms of Service

Last updated: September 21, 2026 · Version 1.2 · Exclusive ownership of your data
Key Principles in Plain English

These terms govern your use of Askflot. You remain the sole and exclusive owner of all your forms, schemas, and collected data. We are committed to maximum platform availability, industry-standard security, and zero commercial exploitation or public AI model training on your submissions.

1. Purpose and Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "User", or "Creator") and Askflot ("we", "our", "us").

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of Askflot services, you agree to be bound by all of these provisions without reservation.

2. Description of the Service

Askflot provides a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform enabling:

  • AI-assisted design of structured data schemas and conversational forms.
  • Execution of interactive interfaces where respondents express themselves in natural language (text or voice).
  • Deterministic, real-time extraction and validation of expected attributes.
  • Natural language analytical querying ("Ask Your Data") backed by direct verbatim citations.
  • Exporting results to third-party tools via webhooks and standard formats (CSV, JSON).

3. Accounts, Security, and Access

Access to the service requires creating an account with a valid email address and a strong password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. In the event of unauthorized access or any identified security vulnerability, you must notify Askflot immediately at security@askflot.com.

4. Pricing, Subscriptions, and Cancellation

Askflot offers a Free Tier and paid plans (Pro & Enterprise) billed as a recurring subscription with no long-term lock-in:

  • Free Tier: Free forever within allocated limits (up to 3 active conversational forms, 100 monthly responses).
  • Paid Plans: Billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Any billing cycle started is due, without retroactive prorated refunds except as required by mandatory law.
  • Cancel Anytime: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing management area in 1 click. Access to advanced features remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use and Prohibitions

Strictly Prohibited Activities

It is strictly prohibited to use Askflot to:

  • Conduct social engineering, phishing, or financial fraud campaigns.
  • Illegitimately collect full payment card data or sensitive medical records without proper legal consent.
  • Attempt prompt injection attacks ("jailbreaks") intended to manipulate or compromise inference models.
  • Perform unauthorized scraping or circumvent request rate limits.

6. Intellectual Property and Data Ownership

Your Data (Customer Data)

You retain full and exclusive ownership of your questions, personas, schemas, respondent answers, and generated summaries. Askflot claims no licensing rights other than what is strictly necessary to host and technically operate the service.

The Askflot Platform

The Askflot software, architecture components, conversational orchestration algorithms, source code, user interfaces, trademarks, and logos are the exclusive intellectual property of Askflot and its licensors.

7. Availability and Service Level Commitments (SLA)

We make every commercially reasonable effort to ensure continuous 99.9% uptime for public forms. Scheduled maintenance operations are conducted whenever possible during off-peak hours with reasonable advance notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Askflot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption arising out of the use or inability to use the service. Askflot's total liability under any claim related to the agreement is expressly limited to the total amount paid by the user during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably within thirty (30) days of written notice, the competent courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
